good standup paddlers and surfers coming up in Tahiti

although outrigger paddling is absolutely dominant,quite a few picking up SUP for training on the lagoon also,mostly Bark type boards for the flats.Out at the reef breaks,some mean action going on also,if you've ever seen those waves you know what that means.Recently on a x3 overhead barreling day,(not Teahupoo),my friends and I were unable to paddle into anything on our surfboards and boogie boards,we just watched in awe as Poto(Vetea David) stroked into  barreling wave after  barreling wave on his standup.Lots of up and coming following him.
