Performanc Paddling Junior Pro In May Need Accomm Ideas Near Bolsa Chica Cali

Hey guys my daughter Kristi and I are travelling to Cali from Australia  for the Performance Paddling Junior Pro in May this year and we have been looking for accommodation near Bolsa Chica. It doesn't need to be flash just clean and not right on a highway.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

My son is visiting next week, with his wife.  They are staying at the Travel Lodge in Sunset Beach.  That is at the west end of Bolsa Chica.  Yes, it is on Pacific Coast Highway.  PCH is not an open highway with miles of high speed traffic.  There is a signal light very close to TL.  It does get quite after commute traffic In the evening.  Speed limit by TL is 45 mph.
I'll try to remember to report back on their stay.
You can find places to stay on Beach Blvd., in Huntington Beach.  But, I don't think they are as nice.  Also, don't let the "Blvd." vs "Highway" fool you.  Beach Blvd. speed limit varies, 45-50.
