I just posted
Paddle Technique Post #7: Catching Waves here:

http://zenwaterman.blogspot.com/2013/03/paddle-technique-part-7-catching-waves.html

The post has three videos intended to help those Stand Up Paddling in the waves for the first time.  If you know what you are doing, don't bother watching these:

How to catch a wave with a stand up paddle board - extended - Blue Planet Surf - SUP
How to stand while surfing a wave - Blue Planet Surf - SUP
How to turn while surfing a wave - Blue Planet Surf - SUP

I had to laugh at that first video about not pointing toward the shore cause you can't paddle straight.  I figured this out on my own, but all this time I thought that I the board I made was just too loose and I didn't have a good enough paddle technique to go straight.  Makes me feel better now.

Robert, thanks for the videos. You're kick outs demonstrate kicking out of small waves and whitewater really well. That bury the tail and paddle and bring it around is a move I've been working on.

What's that board you're riding? Looks nice.
