Last thursday (Jan 31st), about 25 mph winds, gusting close to 40.  The beaches were blown out.  This little cove held some clean surf.  Look like the snow is going to kill this weekend's surf :(  Too much snow, no parking allowed.

Good stuff raf !
It is too easy to miss posts made in the Regional Category... once it rolls off the front page... it's lost.

Glad I checked today... those were some tough conditions on SUP.... glad you found a pocket to play in.

The pictures show so much of what I like about winter surfing... (the part that others think is crazy)...the elements add another dimension to the experience. It is a good addition... like a multiplier... that enhances the senses and leaves a bigger smile ;D

you should re-post in sessions... I think a lot of people would enjoy it!

Surfing in a cove is really special.  The raging chaos of the outside sea
with the gems cleaning up as they wrap into the cove.  Thanks for the
effort of getting it documented and posted.  To get more then the basic
board, paddle, leash, wettie, escape plan organized - seems to be a
bridge too far.
