Being a windsurfer too , I have been following the rescent Red BUll Stormchase online. The first video from monday has just been released.

what an amazing event, some of the captured images are downright horrifying.  I think this extreme stuff has to be great for the image of windsurfing too.   can't wait so see some extended footage, i am sure they are saving it all up for an IMAX movie or something.   :D  here on Vancouver Island we haven't had a solid wind session since mid december.. luckily i have paddlesurfing to keep me in shape and stoked.

Hey Rick, Weed, Geoff, Terry, Mark and all:

Did you see that Cape Sailor and part-time Boston Resident John Angulo made a cameo appearance?

RC

Weed

Josh Angulo not John. Met Josh when he was just a little tyke learning how to sail at Kanaha with his dad Ed looking on.

WOW!!!!!!! That is AWESOME! I could NOT imagine sailing in wind like that. The smallest sail i ever had was a 5.3. Most of my windsurfing was done with a 6.0 on a 9'2" Bruce Jones custom.....occasionally i would need my 6.6 sail......man, i need to get back into windsurfing again.....

sailed some 30-35 knots 2 weeks ago  in the Grenadines and was on 5.0 (my smallest)  and that was brutal

I am amazed those guys sail the size sails that they do in 70-100 knots..amazing.  I'd think in those conditions a cloth napkin would be big enough.
