Hello from SW Connecticut!

Hello everyone, I recently registered because I just bought my first SUP (11' Greco Ark) and am loving this pastime!  I work full-time as an administrator at a nonprofit working with people with disabilities.  Most of my other hobbies are primarily solitary activities (target shooting both airguns and archery, jumping stilts), and at 30 years old I'm not into the bar scene and I've been single too long, so I'm doing everything I can to get my ass out of the house!

A few weeks ago I was at my cousin's house, tried her SUP in the lake and loved it, and within two days I had ordered one from Cali.  I wanted a foam board for the ease of transport and durability, and Todd Greco was quick to answer my questions and was very helpful so I decided to go with the Ark, which I've been very happy with.

So far I've primarily been launching at a local boat launch into the Housatonic River, although I've also done some flatwater on Indian Wells and some heavier chop at Short Beach, all local.  I've been keeping a blog of my outings, if anyone is interested you can check it out at http://treeburnerct.blogspot.com.

Anyway, figured I'd introduce myself and say thanks for having me!
