My buddy Mike called me up and wanted to get out on the water for the first time on a board. So I took him to my normal put in spot on the Chattahoochee River north of Atlanta. The weather was really nice with low wind and the river was pretty quiet except for a lone fisherman under the bridge and a couple of sketchy guys on the beach who seemed a lil out of it. It was just an all around nice day for an easy going cruise.

We went about a total of 3 miles up and back but my pal was he whipped. Gotta remember not to push the newbies too hard the first time out. I usually do at least double the distance on a normal paddle. He actually did pretty good though and caught on almost immediately. Just needed a couple reminders to turn the paddle the right way and no real falls until he hopped on my 27" wide Yolo.

Thanks DJ! I love em both, they are my babies.

I've actually been looking into getting something else for taking the boards down to the river though but for now the AMG is the only ride.
