Stand Up fishing shallow water off some of the local docks and was able to catch several sizable Redfish. My largest catch was 33 inches. All of the fish I caught was over 25'' easy. I had several that broke off or the lure was let go and one fish just ran toward the docks and I couldn't stop. Must have been pretty big and hid in the poles. Today reminded me of catching school Stripers up north. All fish were released for the next time.. Weather was perfect overcast ,light winds and warm 71* F temps ... Not bad for early Feb. Low Country of South Carolina  at its best..Reminded me of fishing for Stripers Up north..

I used the Bass Assassin lures. There 4 inch saltwater  sea shads  paddle tail with 1/4 oz or 1/2 oz silver hook jig heads . The colors of the shads are Electric Chicken , Chicken on a Chain , the Pumkin Seed w/Chartreuse Tail and the Fire Tiger tail ,  These are my 4 favs...The Reds and Trout eatem' up in the Winter and Spring when fresh bait is not available. The jig Heads colors  are red and yellow depending on the water color and clarity... ....
They work in a variety of presentations.. slow retreave, fast, bump & bounce  and jig.. I work the shallows, poles and docks , Oyster shelfs and rock structures. Troughs on the bottom contours on a moving tide especially an inlet or creek mouth. Reds are an ambush fish so you need to get the lure across their path or lead them as they move.. All this changes with live or cut bait and time of year. Water is cooler so they move slower and look for the shallow light colored bottoms that heat up in mid day sun... Hope this helps..
Wal-Mart, boaters world and good Tackle shops have these Lures..
