Email me at larry@casabonita-pr.com when you are here and I can give you the north coast report.  Hope you have a great trip and glad to help.  PS Newton is right, leash breaks can take boards to the rocks here.  Buy new ones before you come!  I have learned the hard way!

Thank you for the hospitality Larry, i'll be sure to get in touch for sure. Question for you about the surf reports on Sufline... Is the report you normally see on Surfline pretty accurate for the area? Or is it hard to get a good read on it with all of the different breaks, and wind directions? I have been checking the cams down there the past few months and it usually is flat or poor when i look. I wonder sometimes if the video being shown is really "live stream" or if it's recorded and kept that way to keep people from knowing exactly how good it is to keep the crowds to a minimum. Conspiracy theory? or possible reality? Maybe it's just been that bad lately and it's just coinsidence, but in 3 months I cannot remember one time i looked and it was "epic".

The only reports I use on Surfline are Wilderness, which has short vid shot each morning, and the one from Jobos.  I use MSW and Swell info.  They are pretty good.  But I also live ocean front at Shacks so as far as what is going on at dawn, I rely on what I see.  If its got west in it, I go around the corner to Wildo or south, east in it I go to Surfers, here, Middles depending.

Gotcha, thanks again for the input. It sounds like no matter the conditions, you can usually find a wave somewhere which is all i care about, i don't mind driving a little bit, it's part of the exploration process and is part of surfing. Can't wait for October!

Lee19 I got your PM, let me know if you didn't get my response. These stupid security letter things keep preventing me from sending my response so i'm not sure if it worked or not. Whats the secret to those things anyways? Do you put spaces between the letters? No Spaces? Case Sensitive?
