Thanks for posting this about Adam McKenney and Leavenworth Mountain Sports (http://leavenworthmtnsports.com/).  Last July I stopped into the shop to ask Adam if he would take me for my 1st time SUP lesson on the river in Leavenworth, WA.  Later that week we did just that for a couple of hours and I was soon hooked.  During the lesson many people were asking us from shore (is it hard? where do you get one?, etc.)  Adam soon had them on his board and literlay getting their feet wet. 

Over the next two months Adam had me trying every board in his shop even his 14' hollow carbon.  I narrowed down on the 404 12'6" hollow carbon, even though I had not tried it.  However, Adam had just picked one up for his wife and gladly put me on it.

Well, 6 months later and my own 404 12'6" board I would have never believed that I would be SUP'n down the Columbia river in mid January.  As the owner of Mountain Home Lodge here in Leavenworth (http://www.mthome.com/) we srtrive for customer service and Adam and his staff are a great resource in the Pacific Northwest.

Adam is a great guy with an awesome shop.  He rips on his SUP and has introduced more people to SUP on river than probably anyone else I know.  His enthusiasm and big smile means 100% success rate. Wow what a beautiful place too.  If you have never been to that neck of the woods you owe it to yourself to check it out.  The Wentachee and Icicle rivers along with steep beautiful mtns make this truly the Austria of the USA.  For a beginner SUP in Whitewater your not going to find a better place to learn or better people to learn it from.  A huge thanks goes out to Adam and his crew for setting me and my  co-workers (Werner Paddles)up with all the Starbboards we needed to have an adventure, Whoppers and Avanti's.  We put in and paddled from town to the play wave it was an adventure with some challenging rapids to boot.
