Weasels wake

I've been familiar with the term "waterman" ever since I was a little kid.
He worked for Culligan, and drove a big truck.
It takes a quiver to do that.

hmmmmm.......
that means that c4 waterman is an uncool brand from now on?

Cool is so overused that anti-cool status is often more desired branding.

Time to frost your hair and get an agent.   You will need to amass an insane amount of skill, document every exploit, and still find a way to make it mildly embarrassing.

Welcome to Waterworld.

I sometimes go to BC where guys risk life and limb either in the winter backcountry or on Mt. Bike trails that make me want to throw up.  But there is none of the claiming mentality I see here.  They work and wash their dishes, kiss their wives goodbye and then live on the edge in their environment every bit, if not more, than any do in this samadi tank we call Hawaii.  Never hear the word mountain men.  This surf hype is like what Admin says, the work of agents.  I appreciate the waterworld my pal Butch lives in on Lake Tahoe.  Check this water out.  Must be the source for the Culligan Man.   I love gliding but paddling around this lake seems off the charts on a day like this.

Waterman , Legend & Diva All over used words.

Can we add Iconic to your list?

Can you put out a Fireman by throwing a Waterman on him?

Did Admin just channel PDX Mike here or what??? That was wierd.

It's a useful term for a concept that otherwise takes a lot of words to describe. I'll try to use it less often, but then I've been trying to use "f@ck" and "gay" less often for years and haven't made much progress.

A few weeks ago I heard someone I consider more than a bit of a delicate liberal use the term "nigger". Shocking coming from a fussy white guy. He explained he was using the term appropriately, to describe someone trying to get him to do menial labor (as in "I'm not his nigger"). I suggested it might get his nuts cut off before he could offer an explanation in the wrong company.

Just words.

I work for an environmental company and when not surfing or paddling, I spend each day setting up programs to clean industrial and municipal water and waste water...maybe I'm a waterman but when I think of the menial labor we get involed in, the term from Bill's delicate liberal friend may be a better fit!

You're just trying to distract me. I've been watching her eat popcorn for twenty minutes now.

Something weird IS happening.  And it didn't start with the Fireman/Waterman comment.  Look at this, that Admin said earlier:

if you are in the woods, then you are a woodsman. If you are in the water, then you are a waterman, and If you are in the snow, then you are a snowman.

It's worse than channeling, I think it's some sort of rift in the space/time continuum.  I know about it from Star Trek.

It's affecting me too.  I can't keep myself from posting this (although it came first from LaPerouseBay, not Admin):

If I'm a Waterman, and I mate with the blonde in the jeans, and she has my son, does that make him a waterboy?

O.K., that was bad.  I'll go back to my corner of the web now.
