cost for the Werner Spanker SUP paddle is $209.27 *including* shipping.  the way i see it, that's 30% off and then some.

they have the measurements different from most sites, but here's what they've got, including stock levels: 82" (5 left), 80" (13), 78" (3).

if you want one of these -- and from my reading of the tea leaves, it seems to be about equal in impressiveness, more or less, to the new kialoa -- then this seems like a good time to buy.  in fact, i might get me a slightly shorter one in case the longer one isn't a good fit.  hmmmm.

so far i'm really impressed w/ how backcountry operates.
--gotta love the free shipping, esp. for extra long paddles like we use.

No questions asked."  Wow.  I sure wish more companies worked like this ... though i'm not exactly sure how the policy would work if i sent a one-piece paddle back in 2 or 3 or 4 pieces 'cause i ran the damn thing over (i have done a rollover like this before ...).  even so, the bc warranty seems to beat werner's own warranty by about oh 29 years.

Thanks for the heads up.  Just placed my order.  I was already thinking about picking one of these up for cruising.  I have heard that these paddles are easier on the joints than my all carbon C4.

The price of carbon never seems to go down at $210 with free shipping lower 48 only, thats a deal.
They only had a couple of 80in left those could be cut down no prob.

You guys are going to like those. The werner was one of my faves at the showcase. I wish they had a longer one than 82 at BC.

glad to hear that some of us here got in the deal. to me it was too good to pass up ... which is why i ended up ordering two of them, one 82", one 80".  i'll keep the one that fits best and either return the other one, or offer it up here, or stash it in the garage for a rainy day.
