C4 Parmenter/Keaulana SUB 10'
« on: August 19, 2010, 06:12:13 AM »
Anyone have any reviews on this board?  How would it be in small surf and some flat water exercise.

What would be the recommended size for a 180 person? 11, 10-6, or 10?

I guess the real question is how much different is the 10 and the 10-6 going to be for a 180 lb person in flat water cruising and small surf?

the 10 would not be too small but if you are cautious
and want more glide on the flat go for the 10-6

I'm 175 and never stepped foot on a standup board before I bought my 10' C4.  I picked it up fairly quickly, but it was certainly harder than if I had learned on a bigger board.  However, if I had to do it all over again, I'd get the same exact board.  After a couple of months in I was thinking of going shorter rather than longer, so I was really glad I didn't get the 10'6".  Of course I surf it 98% of the time, but still.  Good luck!  :)

Hi

I have both the 10.6 and the 10ft I am 182lbs they are both great boards flatwater and surf  but if I could just have the 1 the 10.6 would win hands down at are weight it has much better glide and with the right fins turns just as easy as the 10ft for me the 10.6  is the best allrounder on the market by far
the board is bomb proof the rails are anti chip (2009 on )as well so no nasty marks on the rails to contend with .
