Yes, Thanks for the pics. I really like the last one too. It shows how alone you are out there. No doubt a test of body and mind. I also agree with Bill on the pic with "The Demon". The subject isn't centered in the frame.

Wow, that was unreal.
Everything  they said it was and more.way more.
I owe a lot of people a lot of gratitude, especially Admin for dropping everything the day i got to Maui, to take me on my first Maliko run , or i should say swim / run , and waiting for me as i flailed my way down the coast.
He didnt know me from a guy on the street yet lent me his board, not only for my first run but let me take it for the race as well(i ended up not using it).
Absolute class act. Lovely wife as well.
Thank You , Thank You ,Thank You, Randy . (o.k. ill stop)
Mark Raphorst for coming through with the boards and tuning my F16 after dark on the eave of the crossing.
I know this, paddling in Hawaii is not the same the  paddling ive been doing.
Its a completely different thing. In a word,,, bumps.
Figure that out and your golden.
Morgan Hoestery for also lending me her board as a backup on the crossing, also not knowing me from Jack.
Brendon Shea, and Guy Perry for their Words of encouragement ,convincing me i could do it.Two more unbelieveably cool dudes.
Jake Holcomb and Latham Thulin for the digs.
Everyone whos names i cant remember who gave me tips.
Hawaii is incredible.
If i find my pictuers ill post them.
Going back next year.
Patrick

Is that Andrea using a Malama Paddle? What's with that?

I think that's Jenny Kalmbach using a Kalaoa paddle.  http://www.kalaoapaddle.com/

Looks like the sea Demon has an interesting crew. DC, if you were GP you would have framed that picture completely differently--and used a lot more lens.

The crew of the Sea Demon are actually friends of mine and were 1 of the 2 other boats we were anchored with at Ilio point the night before the race.  The girl however was with the paddlers so she didn't hop on until the next day.  The zoom on my camera isn't the greatest but i gave it my best shot.  Here's a better angle.

Glad to see the other picture on Dave's website.  I know it's been mentioned before; he can really put out a good article.
