Dave,

The video displays as "Private".  You might have to change the setting in Vimeo.

Looking forward to seeing it.

The stories you tell are what make it a cool video.

Aloha Dave,
I am new to the forum and new to SUP.  I have never been a surfer(skill issues), but am hooked on SUP.  I plan on shaping and glassing my own flatwater SUP for California lakes and slow rivers.  Your videos are a wealth of information and the detail and "why" for tips and techniques are great!!  I appreciate very much you taking the time to spread your knowledge because the visual is so much better than just reading how to do things.  I have a bunch to learn and this has become somewhat of an obsession to learn and plan my project!
I hope you plan on doing a glassing video also.....that would be fantastic.

One question is: where do you get the sanding drum for the planer.  My background is woodworking and I can't find a source for the drum.

Mahalo,
Richard

Thanks David!!!  Great to see the video!  Glassing would be great to see as well, but as everyone has said, thank you for what you have done for us thus far!!

Dave, fantastic video.  I'm getting ready to try to shape my first foam paddle board.  Have just finished making a hotwire cutter.  Have two foam blocks, one is 8ft by 3 ft by 3 ft the other is the same but 16 ft long.  Planning to cut my teeth with an 8ft paddle surf board then try a 16 ft flatwater race board.  Working on figuring out rocker and outline for east coast waves on AKU Shaper (have only used it once).  Used it to make hollow wood board, but think foam makes more sense. If you have any tips on rocker or outline, would love your wisdom.

Your video is exactly what I was looking for.  Not only does it give great coaching on how to shape, but I love the design philosophy around where to put the beefier part of the rail, where the V should be and how the V and concaves effect riding.

Thanks for being so free with your knowledge and experience.

Good plan, Hopefully things work out...they are still small so you have time but watch out when they reach maturity...all bets are off
