Windsurf SUP - Two Bolt Base Plate screws
« on: September 10, 2009, 09:13:04 PM »
Getting ready to install a 10" mast box into my board.  After adding an extra layer of glass and resin on top of the box and adding a board pad, I think the standard bolts that come in a base plate will not be long enough

Anyone know where you can get longer screws like this and what type of threading they have?

Any good hardware store should have socket head stainless steel machine screws in either m6 or m8.Just take the nut plate with ya and see which fits...But beware if you get them to long you'll drive them right thru the bottom of the box .ouch!

Of course metric screws come in three standard pitches--coarse, standard and extra fine. Most hardware stores have coarse, while the baseplate is standard pitch.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.
