I had to get a wood 8'6 PSH

Aloha

Since my son was riding a wood veneer PSH 7'10 I had to get one. So here is a 8'6 PSH wood Veneer SUP board. The most interesting thing I have noticed about the board is it seems to be a little more floaty then previous 8'6 boards that I have ridden. Not sure if it is because of the wood veneer or more foam. These wood veneer boards are a thing of beauty and I hate putting a deck pad on them because the wood is so beautiful.

This board has had alot of flat water paddling since there has been no surf and it really floats well. Here are some preliminary pics from a week ago in real crappy surf but I was stoked. Don't expect alot of pictures when the surf gets better because I am the official family photographer and bolt uprights camera man. These pics are courtesy of my wife who comes out with us every blue moon. I can't wait til winter.. :) :)...***This board is being used as a 2 plus 1 with 6.5 center. The finish is wood veneer but the core is foam.**

Aloha

Byron

Nice cool looking board, Byron... Congrats, man...  :)

From what I see in the pics, tail & nose thickness seems to be pretty thin (which is nice for surfing IMO). BTW, spray in the cutback pic was very nice considering those small waves... I'll bet Blane improved the bottom as well as rails.  ;)

Please let us know it's dims and bottom contour (concaves, etc.).

Mahalo do Brazil,
Bob.

ive always noticed with my wood veneer longboards that they were a little more buoyant which allowed me surf them with thinner dimensions then ones without.  i'm a fan of em and will be ordering a wood PSH

Nice board Byron. Do you remember if it's 1 or 1.5 lb foam?

Hopefully Blane will chime a little more details.

I know what ya mean about dinging it. So scared I asked my wife to get a bigger bed.. :)

I thought I was delusional but since you have tried longboards with veneer I trust your judgement. Once I ride it more I will have more feeback.

I think 1.5 lb foam is what Blane told me.

I have seen you surf so I say chance um. You definetly can handle a 8'0. If you fail which is highly unlikely send it here... ;D ;D
