fin placement question

I want to do a 2 plus 1 setup on a self-shaped 10'1".  I"m going 5 1/2" up on center fin box and wondered about the side bites.  I was  thinking 17"? 

Any thoughts?

I'm thinking 7 1/2" from the tail is more the norm with the center fin.. but it depends on the tail shape..especially with where the side fins should go.. I don't think there's any golden rule.
