Warning....this could scare small children!

You have to love how good a wide angle lens makes you look....not that I started out too cute to begin with... Wink

We finally had some waves today. Morning session at Kanaha was fun...hooking up with Rand and Randy for a few. Choppy and a little blown out but some waves anyway. I struggled with my head for the morning but it was still a good session. No pics of that one though...kind of cloudy...not good pic conditions.

The second session after lunch was awesome...Rand and Randy...you guys missed it. It glassed out and was chest high with a occasional head high rolling through. Set after set and very smooth long period waves. Only myself, Bill and one other guy on the water. It got sunny and was like that for a couple of hours before the wind kicked up again. I think Maui took pity on me and decided to give me a good day.

Not exactly Casso's "Down the Line" but I'm trying.

You have to love some of the moments the Go Pro captures.

Another session scheduled for 1st thing tomorrow.....we'll be there early.

OMG.. that last pic is classic.... Missed you guys this morning.. Was paddling in while you were paddling out. Got 3 hours of fun. Well 1.5 hours of fun, 1.5 of kinda marginal but hey... it wasnt crowded...

Lee gets the hero of the day award... Dove down and found my brand spanking new digital camera that fell out of my pocket... Good thing the water was clear.. Grin  Wont take it back out without a floatie thats for sure.

See ya in the morning... should be fun.

I have to admit, all the gopro pics were all looking the same and uninteresting to me but these last two are cool as hell! I see a new avatar for the Stonaxz.

nope, and it has a floating strap. I think the strap might have gotten marginal over the years. As I recall it wasn't floating very high when we shot the showcase pics in the pool last week. Ah well. If anyone finds a Olympus 770SX with a red strap I've got a case of beer with your name on it.

That last photo is excellent!  You could not plan that any better.  I am glad you are finally getting some waves stoneaxe.  Would be a bummer to go all that way to not get any.  Hope there are still some for you the next couple of days.

Had a good day yesterday too. A little windy at first but then it glassed a bit. Wind stayed down all day. Hordes of people out, but so many waist high waves it didn't matter, until the waves thinned out some. went to lunch and came back. conditions were actually better and fewer people. I paddled down to the far end of the break and caught wave after wave. Short and small but sweet. Cracked my blade doing a layback turn. I'm blaming this one on Tom--his new article has me trying laybacks at every opportunity.

Sorry we didn't get to share a few laughs Tracy. I was looking forward to meeting you. Our paths crossed closely a couple times but never quite closely enough.... Sad...next time for sure.

That's the 11-6 Naish. Played with the 10-6 a couple days before and had fun but the way my head wasn't working that day the 11-6 was a better choice. Switched to the 12-6 Starboard later and i think it surfs better or could just be that I'm used to it.

Go for it. Always fun. The surf has been pumpin since i left...figures... Angry
