Those boards look really small

It seems like not only are the pro's boards getting shorter, there are also losing lots of volume.

I noticed it too - Mo & a few other guys sinking down to their hips when they weren't paddling.

The first time I saw a video of someone doing anything close to a standing duck dive was Kieran Grant (go to 1 minute, 48 seconds).

I was out there for the week shooting for a magazine. Got some amazing shots.
