St. Bart's

(1/1)

Heading down to spend five days in St Bart's next week. Never been there before and as a long time surf SUPer hoping to catch a few waves.🙏!! Looking for any info about surf opportunities and rentals of a reasonably decent board. All thoughts and suggestions appreciated!!👍

Caribsurf:
Surfed there many times years ago, never SUPed..my favorite spot for surf is the tiny village of Lorient. It's east of St.Jean and the airport. Pretty consistant with  numerous  take off spots and reef breaks and holds a crowd. The St.Barts surf club is based here.
St.Barts has really good surf and quite a few breaks...Toiny, St.Jean, Lorient, Anse de Cayes, Flamand. Toiny when it breaks has a perfect left, but isn't always breaking. I am sure they have rentals in St.Jean or Lorient.  I will ask a friend of mine who lives there and send you a PM..be sure to bring a big wallet as its a very expensive island, but many times well worth it.  Also many local surfers and boogie boarders, so expect crowds on weekends.  you should have some surf there this time of year. Have fun. Be sure to have a cheeseburger and cold Heineken at Le Select, the only bargain in Gustavia..also a chicken baguette at Jo Jo Burger in Lorient post surf...delicious.
