Going back to the Ke Nalu site, I noticed there is something missing. Under "Contact Us", the address of the business is given, but there is no phone number. I even googled the phone number and no joy. Does anyone have a phone number for this business?

Lane lives in Thailand, so no. I think he still ships out of hood River. I'd just email him.

This -http://vepaddles.com/paddle/aircore-pro-carbon-sup-blade-on-a-black-glass-shaft/

Straight neck SUP paddle - Is the future of SUP surf.

People will resist and eyebrows will be raised but trust me - I've tried it and its a whole new level of paddle surfing. Less strain, less turbulent, more power, quicker. Simple and effective :D

Interesting find. But the blades seem too big to me for sup surfing. Even the smallest one is 91 sq inches. Most sup surfers these days are going no bigger, and usually smaller, than that, I think, never mind the medium at 97. But maybe the narrow blade design helps. I'd be interested to try one though - that's a good price for a carbon paddle in the UK.

I have used a paddle with no blade offset before. I've even tried paddling using an angled blade backwards. You can adapt to just about anything, really, and make it work. Personally I tend to find myself wanting more blade angle than standard, rather than less. But ymmv.

Well the guy can make whatever size you require. The big thing here is the straight neck.. Seems like a step back but its come from a time served sit surf paddling, paddler :)

And a guy we all know and love. The build quality is amazing - light as a feather but stronger than other lightweight offerings out there.

FWIW - I ordered a Kenalu. I ordered the Wiki 84 with a Ergo T handle and a XTuf (s) shaft. I've been following this site and those paddles for a long time so pretty excited to finally be able to try one out this spring.

I'm also looking at the Starboard Enduro Carbon Blade "S" 73.6 sq in the adjustable length (59.4"-83.3") since both of my shoulders have now been operated on. This is another paddle that would suit me well for both flat water paddling and sup surfing.

Hey Night Wing,

Have you thought of a ZRE paddle? They make great paddles and their customer service is second to none. They will customize almost anything for you. I currently have their Power Surge Adjustable in a 75 sq. inch blade. It is a very nice paddle. Mine has an adjustment range of I think six inches. If you wanted a travel paddle, with a 4 inch adjustment range, you might try their vario flex travel paddle. You can see Burchas post on it here: http://www.standupzone.com/forum/index.php/topic,29916.0.html

I believe Burchas uses it for both flat water and SUP surfing. Sorry, I’m not a surfer so don’t know exactly what is needed for a surf paddle, other than I believe you use a shorter length???

Anyway, thought I would throw this out in case you hadn’t though of it.
Infinity Blackfish 12’ 6” x 23”
ONE SUP Evo 12’ 6” x 24”
Infinity Whiplash 12' 6" x 24 1/2"
ONE SUP Evo 12’ 6” x 26”
Bark Competitor 12’ 6” x 29”
Red Paddle Explorer (Inflatable) 13' 2" x 30
Starboard Airline (Inflatable) 12’ 6” x 27

@Quickbeam

Thanks for the tip. I will take a look at ZRE. I need and want a two piece adjustable carbon paddle. For me, I use a shorter paddle length for surfing and a longer paddle length for flat water paddling.
