Boards on the beach pic
« on: March 18, 2017, 11:17:50 AM »
Here's our launch on the south side.  Kiawe thorns line the beach so watch your step.  Jimmy in blue shirt with his red 14 Rail.  Victor farthest back near his blue camo 14 Brian Symanski Lehua Kai, myself next to my red loaner Bullet and Randy doing his Tim Tebow by his red Bullet.  Order of finish was Randy, myself, Victor and Jimmy but those guys weren't too far behind with those 14s.  Except for Randy, the other three of us are all 66.

Both. Randy cheats like hell, young, light and fit. No fair. We need to get that boy a big bag of rice to carry.

Worse when you step on one and it goes right through your slippah and staples it to your foot. Like stepping on Caltrops, and no, I didn't need to look that up. Anyone who reads the Sharpe Series knows what a Caltrops is.

No.  V1 just like mine.  But mine has a delammed deck that was as soft as a trampoline.  The loaner was really hard and seemed to have much more thrust.  Yeah yeah I know.  Used to be Andrea's board so I imagined it had some kind of magic as well.  I rode on super sunday the day of the SIC photo shoot and it was unreal but you never know when conditions are that good.

Scared myself with ski with first run on the outside with considerable wind off the north shore.  Didn't fall but was breathing hard and a little overwhelmed.  Fortunately it was over quick.  Inside the harbor with crosswinds and all seemed tame after being out there.  Thought I was ready for N shore after several south side runs but I wasn't.  Just not the same.. (duh)
