Fire up the GPS, Speed Puck, Vivioactive, or any other gadget that gives accurate speed data.

Get yourself on your sub eight footer and let it rip. How fast does it go? Half a mile is plenty. Low liters preferred.

Paddling a JP slate I got up to 4.2 mph, and averaged 3.6 for three quarters of a mile. And then my HR monitor went off..

The nesting pair of swans were terrified.

Sub eight footer? Do I get one for each foot? You forget we Clydesdales don't do sub eight. Closest I come is an 8'8" mini sims, and for me that paddles like a Saucer Sled does cross country skiing.
