"A technical design for slightly more advanced riders paddling in choppy and open ocean conditions, both upwind and downwind race courses. A highly popular shape for New Zealand, Australia, New Caledonia, UK."

This is the 2017 SB UL solution for Australia DW etc.

One year warranty! Hmm... most Starboard race boards I see look rooted after 1 year. Will be interesting to see what the "warranty" covers.

This UL Ace should be very stable at that width and length. Very interesting.

Yeah - if we needed something for AW distance - this would be up on the list.  Would expect it to be stable upwind and very quick DW.  The boof provides good float for anti-pearling and the deep pin tail super low drag.

Curious what the measured width is going to be.
The Ace-GT I have in my hands right now has been published including on the sticker in the board as 28". others have also shown 27.5".
It seems that everybody that reported the width as measured came up with 27" as I did.

"Water release system forces water..".

Really? Forces? How? Is there a pump onboard?

Sounds like typical Starbosrd hyperbole. They rival Trump's pronouncements for accuracy.

The link posted above has a vid at the bottom.  They talk about how water flows out vs staying in.  The tail is now sloped open out.  No pump onboard.   ;D

I wonder how these dugout are in cross-wind situations... it seems to me the board will
go 5mph sideways with the right wind.

I agree with A10 about the hybrid shape like the equinox or the some models of the
NSP Sonic. I can't say I understand his rectal strength and conditioning plan with
a red hot poker though, must be a brit heritage from the tower of London's glory days ;D
in progress...
