Walk it off. There's a big older dude who walks the beach at Nantasket regularly, carries about a foot long piece of rebar, and he looks burly. Not gym type burly, but biker or mover burly. Just switches that rebar from hand to hand as he walks. I'm sure consistently is key for something like that, got to do it more often than not, but we're designed to walk not sit on our asses. I bet a regular routine like that 4 days a week would work for you, and keep you in good enough condition to make getting ready for the ccbc easier.

I wish I could have walked it off. At it's worse I couldn't put any weight on my foot. Thankfully it's almost all gone now. Most painful thing I've ever felt....I actually think I passed out from pain for a sec last week....dog was wagging her tail and whipped it straight across the spot that hurt as she walked by. I remember a brief flash of intense pain and then I woke up with my foot throbbing. I knocked a bunch of stuff off my lap and had no memory of it falling....very weird feeling, wasn't sure where the hell I was for a second.

I'm still going to go see a specialist. I really don't want to see that again and have no idea what brought it on.
