Yup, looks like a B&B from the rest of the pics.
(maybe a 9'6"?)

A fun little day!

I've got to try putting the paddle back behind me
like that - for some extra counterbalance.
Usually, I've got the blade in the water trying to give
a bit of hydrofoil lift in front of me.

It's funny, but when I'm aiming toward the nose of my Laird I have no idea what I'm doing with my paddle. When I surf it's usually engaged somewhere on the face of the wave (not much of a carry-the-paddle guy) but while nose-riding? ... will have to pay attention next time!

Tip from Dave Daum - on a smaller wave - try putting the paddle on the back of the wave to help slow things down and keep you in the curl. Works a treat. 8)  8)  8)

I sorta like the look of the paddle position in the image....here's some playing around with existing online images with a paddle drawn in.  I hope I didn't violate some tribal surf rule by f-ing with surf images - especially the last image!   :o

I think all these are pretty cool...I'd love to be able to do any of 'em!  I'll get there!

Some sweeting riding 808!  Looks the opening and music.

I'm no expert and don't mean to be critical but you'd look a lot more stylish cross-stepping vice shuffling up and back. Also, take your music to the end of the vid.  Last 1/3 of the vid has no tunage.

It was cool to see this vid angle.  I've been toying with putting a GoPro mount on the nose of my B&B but have decided against it to date for fear of a cam getting in the way of toes over.  Your vid puts some perspective on that.

Again, still enjoyed the vid and look forward to more!!

WS, are you saying the flat-nose version of the B&B doesn't come with an FCS plug on the nose?

And very nice vid 808!

no, it does....my comment was intended to convey that I'm just not sure (for me) its a good idea to slap a GoPro up on the nose when I'm trying to spend time up there for fear it'd just get in the way or worse I'd break a couple of toes by bashing into a cam.

The sound I had for the video didn't upload so I had to delete original video and post a copy using you tubes crappy tunes. I'm not sure why mine wouldn't upload. It went end to end. From The Ventures
I rarely use the go pro on the nose. It makes it nearly Impossible to get ten without risk of bashing toes into the camera. And yes cross- stepping is definitely more stylish but shuffling is default mode sometimes. ;)
I remember seeing a camera mounted from under the nose of the board somehow but can't recall where. That would eliminate the fear of toes being trashed.

Yes, I've been looking for that video too.  It was a female logger, so you can be sure I will keep looking! ;D

I think if you saw that video from the side it would look like cross stepping. He starts with a classic cross step, stepping back to stall and getting the back foot into position to cross.  The first step is cross, and the rest are shuffles but the back foot comes to the front instead of the clumsy front foot first, stretch shuffle.  I do the same thing most of the time, even when I think I'm crossing.  Most importantly the feet are on the stringer, so the board doesn't rock. Yes, the classic cross step is prettier, with the board moving under the rider like it was being slid foreword and back, but this is decent technique and it gives good control even though it's jerkier.
