Yup.

I'm not giving up on surfing. Wednesday looks like we might get a break, though I plan to do some scouting tomorrow early. Might be some surfable stuff.

Tuesday looks possible for you and Wednesday looks like it should be a very fun day.  The odd thing is surfline wind charts for Tuesday are showing calm to light offshore in the am, while ikitesurf and such are not showing that at all.  Either way it is worth looking in the am.

I'm stuck in AZ working until Thursday, but will see you out there later this week.

Cleaning up. The creek is still flowing solid into the ocean, but we need the sand. I'm sure Doheny is going to have some new breaks, till the sand bar gets redistributed. It's 39 degrees this morning in SoCal.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

Doheny is now Sand Rincon, with a brazillian 10-20 year olds.  My old break (straight out from the south side of the highway bridge) is now a point break with a whole new bottom and a whole bunch of kids in the line up.

Give it 2 or 3 months and the currents will have it back as it was. All that sand is much needed for our local coast line.

Surf sucked today so I made crab stuffed mushrooms. At least the girls are enjoying the fallout of crapola conditions.

I got an hour and a half yesterday at Sharks, before the wind kicked up.  The storm harbinger nearly blew the board out of my arms going up the stairs, I really could barely control it. It was a pleasant and wave-countee hour and a half, though.

It's been the winter of discontent for surfing in Santa Cruz, with opportunities limited since the beginning of December by all the storms, rain, and disorganized chop and swell.

At least the reservoirs are starting to fill back up...
We were up at Lopez Lake on Sunday...drove through the valley behind SB...nice to see Cachuma starting to fill and Santa Maria River flowing...
The sensor and rangers were reporting 50% capacity at Lopez...enough water to standup paddle...but, way too low still for windsurfing or windfoiling...it's reporting 52.4% right now...so, it's continuing to come up...

Flew the drone for a bit over the lake...

Here's what SanO looked like today. The road is open, but I missed the early surf.

I don't know that SanO's Dog Patch SUP haven will ever be the same. It hurts to see it like this. You can see what used to be Dog Patch, and what it looks like today.  :'(
