Cool film....so far. It's a movie, so I'll set aside some time and a beer to watch it all the way though. Cool seeing Skip back in the day. Wait a minute.  I'm from back in the day :-[
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

Thanks for the link Tom.... I watched for a 15 min teaser... will do it all very soon.

This is like watching my life and times, surfed some of those spots, with those surfers in the 70's.... which isn't important, just interesting to me.... it was the same every where!
Very cool to see it all documented like this. None of us had cameras.

The surfing is amazing.... close enough to the longboard era, that style was still an important part of the game.... and it shows.

Like the film maker, I was always totally bored by the standard surf movie. Same stars, same breaks, same moves. I always fell asleep.

This guys take on the average surfers view, is a lot more interesting. I look forward to sitting down and absorbing it all. :)

I skipped  through  it  to. I  really  enjoyed  seeing  some  of  the  surfers  I  know  and  others  I've  heard  about . Mostly , I  want  to  ride  a  single  fin pintail in some  quality  surf.

Great video/movie Tom..really enjoyed watching that despite some of the "acting".  Brought back many memories.

I lived in La Jolla in 1989-1990 a few blocks above Wind n Sea on Arenas St.  What a magical surf spot.

The Vibe could be troublesome depending which "locals" were in the water that day, but I pretty much kept to myself and caught plenty of waves.

Thanks for posting

Good Weather and small waves in Santa Cruz, but I'm stuck in with hacking cough and chills today.  At least I got a nice day yesterday after weeks of rain and cabin fever.

Watched the movie. "When the ole goats were young goats". I didn't quite follow the enacted "drama" parts.

When I was young, I just thought I wasn't capable of surfing.  It was only after walking the beaches and watching lots of surfers and SUP for a couple of years after getting our Santa Cruz place that the thought occurred that "Maybe I can do that, too."
