Pass the bar
surfinJ:
Sandbar that is. Getting in worked out fine, threading the channel in between the peaks. Usually the safest bet getting out is to ride one in. This time that didn't work out so well. I ended up spending about 5 minutes stuck in the foam bathtub about 30' out, couldn't touch the bottom and the current and breaking waves worked against each other.
Night Wing:
Beautiful waves like that and you had it all your yourself. I'd love to have waves like that to sup surf in, but the upper Texas coast just produce waves like your's. Thanks for posting the video.
supthecreek:
Ha ha... shorebreak is so much fun!
Thanks for the paddle out part... that's half the fun on a good day.
Nothing like sneaking over a feathering OH lip in offshores!
I like the look of the outside break. Nice A frame that handles some size.... awesome!
surfercook:
You're making me wanna come visit! Except for the shorebreak part! :P I've ALWAYS had France in my bucket. That is some awesome and EMPTY surf! Like Creek, I also enjoyed the paddle out part. You wheelie real nice!
J's Paradise!
surfinJ:
I'm glad you all enjoyed it, nice to share a session and this one was fun.
But to be clear, this spot is normally inhabited by up to 100 surf buddies over three peaks. These conditions are what make our advantage over the other surf zone users so nice. Lots of guys were checking it out but no takers.
Getting it alone is then like a froth for all. Paddling around and positioning for any available wave, freedom to put the full possibilities of standup surfing to use.
