Stormy inflatable DW

Just picked this one off Facebook....been stormy in the UK....as you can see from this vid.

Yeah - looks kinda blustery.  Like the board flipping at the end of the leash.  Adds a nice touch to the music.  Haha.

Great instructional on the topic of the need for a leash when downwinding. It's useful that they left the falls in.

It would have been good to see those riders in those conditions on some proper downwind boards. But inflatables are a certainly lot easier in terms of ding risk. And when an unlimited hard board flips around like that it can be alarming.

Nice also to see some strong winds.

Yeah that's a nice strong wind. Over 40 kn by the looks of it.

Hardy lot with their inflatables. They look like river riders. Locked in. Very amusing.

To use an old surfing phrase - "you should've been here yesterday!"   -
This is the Lake I paddle all summer long on my 14 footer, it's usually sheet glass.  I've hoped for days like this but never been out in anything stronger than 15 or 20.  Then again, would I downwind it alone in 40+, probably not!

Seeing the wind and weather 10/10 to these guys.    Coldsup - do you have any contact details for them, I'd like to see if i can tag along if they do this again.
