Google Timelapse
« on: November 30, 2016, 06:45:03 AM »
This is incredible.  Check out your area over time.  Google just did a massive overhaul of this feature with petabytes of new data.  Watch the trees vanish.  Here is Hood River:

Hometown, trees stayed the same. That's the upside of the slow moving old world. Rents on the other hand have skyrocketed.

Vegas time-lapse is impressive. Except that it’s planting trees. As Lake Mead shrinks.

Cool to watch the sand bars shift at inlets.....the Chatham bars on the Cape are particularly cool.

Very cool. More seasonal variation than anything else, but remarkable tech. I looked at a number of the old growth areas, compared to harvested. The logging industry has sure changed.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

A lot depends on where you look. My company which works primarily on municipal water and wastewater  infrastructure projects is moving into the Florida market. I just sent our prez the link and told him if anyone is questioning the idea just show them a timelapse comparison between any city in the northeast and any city in Fla. Northeast cities just kind of flicker a little here and there while Fla cities development doubles. I'm working on some proposals for Orlando and seeing the change there it's easy to see why.
