I'm in the other camp, the glass half full one.  I'm happy just to see the new images / renderings along with whatever hype, errors or misdirection they care to throw.

I think that's a minority position. Here in Europe boards are VERY expensive. So if you are going to be spending what is a month's *pre-tax* salary for the average household (and a helluva lot more for the majority of individuals) then you want to know that what they are telling you you can buy is actually what you are going to get. If you'd just bought a Vapor on the basis that the shape had been changed this year (as the catalog says) only to find that it was exactly the same as last year, I think you'd be fully justified in being pretty annoyed. If that happened to me I'd take the board back to the retailer and shove it where the sun don't shine. Metaphorically, of course. In this way the slackness of these catalogs undermines faith both in the brand and the retailer, and serves no purpose other than to invite customer dissatisfaction.
