Sunova 8'5" Speeed XXX Tec / Excellent condition

Sunova 8'5" Speeed XXX Tec.  In excellent, barely ridden condition.  What can I add to the ton of reviews here on the Zone and Sea Breeze?  Not much.  No dings, dents or any other defects besides some minor surface scratches and paddle marks.  The Balsa XXX Tec construction is amazing and this board weights in at 17.38 lb.  RS Pro rail saver and stock fins are included.  $1300, pick up San Diego.

Looks awesome.  Who did you buy it from?   Why are you selling it?  Is it tippy?

I picked it up locally at Surfride, but got it direct from Sunova, pre JimK.  Tippy?  The full specs are  8'5" x 27 3/4" x 4 3/8 @ 112 liters.  So it certainly requires some skills, but paddles very easy and straight without the usually yaw of standard shape boards.  That makes taking off easy and the bumped channeled tail makes clean driving turns.  That said, I'm lazy and didn't like it in anything choppy.  Not really a sup surfer and prefer surfing on a standard longboard or shortboard.  Bottomline, it got very little use and I have a new race board coming.

A good friend of mine has this same board and he is 6.2 and 199 lbs and he rocks on this board.  He turns like no ones business and screams down the line.  He looks very stable although I thought it was small but he proved me wrong.  He looks more stable on the 8.5 than most people on the 8.10 speeed.  He also has a longboard style when the waves are glassy and smooth.  All round a great board for him.  I love my Speeed but I weigh more so have a bigger Speeeed.
