Cool riding.....  But did you see the surfers faces/expressions as the SUPer snakes the waves from them!

He looks like the guy who does all those ultra short tomo board rides on SeaBreeze..

It is a much shorter Speeed than 8.10, but he doesn't even look like he gets all the way back to the kickpad for those turns.

Nice overall, but not sure that most of us couldn't appear as well skilled given similar camera work.

Ha.. Andrew (Casso) is a great surfer no matter what he's on and btw he's not that young.. I'd say mid 40's at least.. and there was no snaking going on.. He just positions himself better to pick up the wave earlier.. That was filmed at his local break in Sydney..

Nice video. I especially liked the slow motion parts in it. Enjoyed his foot work on a short sup too. He seems so comfortable on this sup.

Thanks for sharing the video.

I have to say I think I have seen him surf better and smoother on the deep boards. Looks like that board is a little un predictable and twichey but nice all the same, looking forward to some nice  clean waves there this winter

No. Like DJ said, there is no snaking (or dropping in etc.) going on in this vid, just good surfing.

Not to hijack but are there any video's of guys riding the Flow like this.  It seems that when we see these video's of guys slashing it up on Sunova's they are all on Speeds. I am contemplating one of these boards in the future and would like to see how they are ridden.

Thanks!

Ha ha ha.... I just did a search of YouTube....."Sunova Flow"
The only surfing video's that came up we're mine  :o

.....and this one....... Not a great look at the board in my book, cuz it's just chopped up clips of "Moves" stuck together

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhJY4MRqZeo

don't know if you can glean anything from this, but in case you missed it...
here's one of an old guy in freezing cold and high winds.... on a 9'2 Flow, that I never synced with... too big.
I have an 8'10 coming, but I still won't be a young ripper when it gets here, so not much help. :)

Slugga has a video over on seabreeze riding the 8'7 Flow. The mouth cam perspective doesn't do justice to his sharp cutbacks and lip smacking.  Not sure if this link will get you there: http://www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Stand-Up-Paddle/SUP/Sunova-flow-surfing-vid/ The thread is called Sunova flow surfing vid. posted May 8th.

Thanks guys.  I have seen those vids.  Just seeing if there were more.  I've watched yours Creek  :D

Thanks for the one from seabreeze.   Hadn't seen that one.  Wish I could have seen from shore perspective.

I have had the 8.7 Flow out for a few sessions.  Two were calm with few waves, the others with lots of choppy, windy funk that I should not have been out in for a learning curve.

I am still intimidated by it, because of it's size compared to my size, but it is surprisingly OK to balance once I am standing on it. It does have a learning curve for me and I have been sore after using it.  It is late drop, so waves need to be pretty steep and energetic, and my wave count is lower compared to Speeed 8.10.

The couple of good waves I have gotten with it are tantalizing, though, with one really nice, smooth, triple re-entry in Supcheatlandia.  I think it is a real winner in the twirling whirlies, even compared to my Prowave, but Prowave is a longer board.
