uummm, Bert was pimping parabolic well before 2006. Stiffer material on rails induces concave in bottom when loaded up. Look on Swaylocks for classic toilet roll analogy. Lots of discussion on this and merits on Swaylocks.

Nice catalog. The "Converse", 9' x 30" x4.1" @ 142 liters is that caught my earlier this summer. Sure would like to demo this model. The only hiccup, Starboard does not have any dealers in the entire state of Texas. Quite odd for a state with a long coastline bordering the Gulf of Mexico.
