Monday was a blast from the Invest in NJ.  I got out on my 105ltr which needs size and glass and the day had both!

Yesterday was real bumpy but had good size on sets so i hit it prone and forgot what a fun steep prone drop was since this summer has been sooooo very flat.

Missed it this AM. (Day off to take the Kiddo's to see Elmo at Sesame Place....) But tomorrow should still be Waist high and fun.  Finally fun swell!!!!!!!!

If most of the waves were like the one in the photo, it must have been tough to quit that surfing session.

Thanks for sharing the picture.

Nice photo Mr.Big wish I had scored that surf....Stayed a few extra days on the Cape post CCBC and it was a total disapoinment.  Poor surf, dumping beach break, unfavorable winds and seal poop which actually closed the beach.  Glad I came home a couple days early to Maine to find perfect clean, long period surf and no seal poop

Go Big Mr Big!!!!
I saw that wave.... you are rocking that pumpkin!

Caribe.... I couldn't wait for you to leave so the waves would get better  ;)

We had it all this week... wonk, clean, small, better, beach closings all over from inshore shark activity....
6 hours yesterday.... second session coming after a nap today.

Here's a timeline photo record... 3 different photographers, 3 days...

I rode my 9'2 Speeed in the wonk, and my 9'4 Acid in the clean

Dang Creek, hitting that lip. Good stuff!  All while on Speed and Acid. Well done. I can barely surf on too much caffeine.

Looks like Whitey got some seafood in that one pic.

@supthecreek

What is the story behind the photo with the shark fin and what looks like blood in the water along with the swimmers?

Night Wing..... it's was a Great White eating a seal at one of our surf breaks this week.
Lots of beach closings during the swell, for GW activity.... including the beach we were surfing in the pics.
Lifeguards didn't stop us from going out.... just the swimmers (no swimmers in the pic... it's a seal)

We liked it... we could surf in the swimming area. It's the best break  :)

click this link, then click "last 30 days" to see what we have going on around here.

Mr Big, looks like you had some nice surf up there this week.

Creek, not certain that I could focus on catching waves while a Great White devoured a seal nearby.

@supthecreek

Glad where I live in Texas we don't have great whites who hunt near out Texas beaches. Our big sharks are mostly pelagic (tiger, mako, hammerhead) which usually (and the key word is "usually") stay far offshore during daylight hours.

Off course, we do have bull sharks which roam close to the beaches in the Gulf and they are also in our shallow bay complexes.

We got waves from Gaston, but the sideshore made it a little challenging. The work to fun ratio was a little skewed.

a few waves from this morning, mostly of me trying to fool around on the nose.  i still can't figure out this soloshot thing (and hope the new one arrives soon), as you'll see when only the tip of my board is visible, which is most of the time.  anyway, lots of fun and some longass rides.
