Contest preparation

Hey,

In a month, I'm going to participate in a 1.5 km stand up paddle competition, which suppoae to take around 15 minutes for the winners.

What's the points to practice properly for this competition? Usually, i practice 3-4 km paddling for around 30 minutes for 3.9 km.

What does the course look like? For instance, number and spacing of buoys, flat vs chop, etc.
