Maintenance
« on: August 28, 2016, 10:03:56 AM »
Have had my board out a few times now, having fun.  I was wondering, what are some specific maintenance and care tips I need to do?  It's a BIC ace-tec wing.

We paddle in the ocean so all we do is rinse down in fresh water and let dry before putting in a board bag.  Others do far less and just saltwater air dry and store exposed to the weather.  So just depends what you like to do.  Can say though that our lightweight carbon boards have suffered only very minor wear and tear over the years.

Main things are to not drag or hit rocks - do not drop on hard surfaces - and do not fall on your board hitting it hard with your paddle.  That said - based on many reviews the 35 lb thermoformed composite Ace Tec Wing should be extremely durable and last a long time with minimal care.
