He was flying on the river. I envy those states with great river waves.

Thanks for sharing the video.

What is the board?
he announces it in the title. Go back and watch again.

Nice!

I especially liked the little meditation session at the end before we have to get back to work. Just needed the little <dingggggg> at the end so we can wake up.

I Googled the title and Storm SUP and got nothing.

Is it the new Wavestorm downwinder model?  ;D

We kept seeing that board around here last week and it's a really unique shape. It has the deepest cockpit recess I've ever seen, probably about 6 inches. It also is has a a REALLY pinned out tail, like the back end of a canoe. Obviously he really gets the thing gliding. I was paddling the days they were here and he appears to be putting in less than average effort to maintain those long glides. That being said, that's not the board Angela was racing and training on. She was on a more traditional shape of the same brand.

Great video. Again, I don't think I've ever seen someone glide on a Gorge bump for so long with such little effort. That must be a very fast and efficient shape, and obviously a talented paddler.
He's not having to do much trimming either.

Yes he makes it look like a bloody walk in the park with half-hearted strokes from time to time....
Why do I have to work so hard for shortish glides :-)

Such a cool place to hang out, ang and i spent 3 weeks in hood river this year and loved every minute of it such a cool town and the people are super nice. The board i was on was the Storm and for me this board just make dw paddling so easy. Its a board where it will do most of the work and you can just spend more time doing the little things right.

Ang was on our new 12'6 which is not so much a dw board more of a BOP kind of board if she could she would have been on my board in a heart beat as she loves it.

The storm is amazing dw and up wind not so great in the course racing but we have other boards for that anyway.

We are back home now training in the dark but already looking forward to next year in the hood.
