Bought a BIC wing 12-6. Is it too big for me?

Hi everyone, rookie here.  I was able to get a good deal on an BIC wing 12-6 so I got it. After reading some posts on this forum. Sounds like maybe a 12-6 is too big for me?  I'm 5'7". 145 lbs. that being said I don't have any problem lugging it around or loading it on my truck.  I'm just wondering if there is in issue in the water with it that I don't know because I'm new to the sport.  Also, if anyone has anything else to say about the wing let me know.  Thanks.

Sounds perfect. Have fun with that. Welcome to the zone. Welcome to our addiction. It's a good board to start with and keep around for others to paddle when you get your new lighter, narrower, longer, faster, more sexy broad board that you will start thinking after the dating learning phase wears off.

The Wing is a good board. Super tough.  Stable but with a lot more glide than an all-around type board. Like TallDude says it is a great board to start with and a good second board if you end up getting something narrower and faster.
