A few pics of the finished board, even had a little play on it over the weekend!

Looks great!
How'd it go?

I am a little surprise you didn't put in a thruster option, since this is your bumpy day board.

I think I'm going to be wanting as much speed and drive as i can get so went for just the quad setup.

The board went pretty much as hoped, a lot more locked in to the wave face on steep drops which was my main goal. Still need to spend a lot more time on it to get a good feel, i will probably stick a deck pad on there too no i know its a keeper.

Think this one is going to be next up which will be 8'3 x 25.5 and be my step up board. Im thinking i may not go down to 7'6 now and rather just have a second 7'10 but at also 25.5 rather than the 27 the current board is.

Man, as light as I'm betting you are making these I'd say that's a good idea, keep the length and cut the width. Just being able to move around in the lineup and stroke into a wave earlier seems like a good call.

Living the dream Charlie. Think it, cut it, glass it, saaaaaaaaannnnnnddddd it, and surf it.
Boards look perfect for Fiji. I was watching a golf tournament on there on TV last week. The wave in the back ground were just pumping... I was way more interested in the waves. That's why I watched it. Pretty sure the guy that won doesn't surf:)
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

I just got back from a family vacation in Fiji and got to surf the breaks around Namotu and Tavarua with the Fijian Blue Planet distributors.  We mostly surfed at Swimming Pools which is a mellow break off Namotu, and Wilkes.  We did get some waves at Cloudbreak where the lefts are bigger and more powerful, fast and awesome.   You will love it, just try to kick out early and avoid getting caught inside, especially on a low tide.  Cloud break was more crowded than some of the other spots, so we did not stay there very long and I did not get much footage there.  Here is a video I just put together:

Cheers for that looks prity mellow in most of those pics I'm sure they still can pack a punch though. I think I have modified my quiver a little now and I may take a new 7'4 X 27 evo flux as my middle board and then have the 8'3 X 26 as my step up and this 7'10 X 26 cut this eve as my step down for if its nice and clean and not to big.

I think with my luggage allowance and boards I'm going to have to pack very light do you have any suggestions for essentials that I need to take that are not easily available there ? Many thanks

Sounds like you will have a great quiver.  It was stormy and rainy the first two days and I was wishing I brought a rain jacket, all I had was a sweatshirt- not cold, just wet.  Good sunscreen is a must and long sleeve shirts are a good idea if you are in the sun all day.  If you get any reef cuts make sure to clean them out really well.  The waves at Cloudbreak pack a punch so bring a strong leash and a back up leash, and ding repair putty.  Where are you staying?
