Nice video Zoo. Looks like a fun day. Best part of the summer mush is not getting punished for riding one just a little too long.

See, using skunk juice thins out the crowds! (that's the only way I can explain the lack of bobbing heads in your vid Mike).  Way to nail some fun ones!

LOL, that's why I'm not divulging where this is.  Plus this was shot beginning at 5:30 and ending at 6:30 AM.  I'm sure it got more crowded after I left.

You are pretty close.  I'll share this spot with any Zoner that wants to know, it's not all that secret.  (Nowhere in Newport is secret)  I just don't want to post the location online to advertise it.  If you want to know, send me a PM.

Nice hustling on those mushy waves! Good glassy conditions you scored. And that jazzy jam was tasty!
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

"Down in the numbered streets," was a quote from "The O.C." serial tv show.  Of course, the lifeguard towers go up to 74th (mostly representing the numbered streets) so I wasn't too worried that someone would figure it out based on my clue. I think it could be one of about three spots - difficult to tell with the narrow perspective and only sand, surf and you - you made it a mystery.  Kind of a flat beach so that rules out lots of Newport (unless the sand was flattened by big waves).  Like you said, no real secret spots in Zooport but, like you indicated, out of respect, no reason to broadcast it.

Thanks for the video and nice surfing.  My wife lived in Newport when I first met her and I used to spend weekends surfing there.  That was in 1969, so things have changed a bit.  ;D

Yes, but it has always been "Zooport" Beach.   Always has been crowded.
