New Board Advice
« on: July 25, 2016, 09:32:28 AM »
I am looking to upgrade to a new board. Currently paddle a “touring” 11’6 , 30” wide custom carbon board.
I am a 6’0, 165# guy that has been paddling frequently for 3 years.
Mostly in the tidal creeks and rivers around Charleston, SC- occasional chop, frequent wind and current.
I do a couple of “fun” races a year, 3-5 miles.
Really don’t have the space for a 14’.
I have tested these 2016 models: SIC X 12, SIC FX 12, Bark Vapor 12, Amundson TRX 12’6.
I liked them all-so having a hard time making a choice. Also have seen the 2015 SIC models on sale.
Do you guys have an opinion as to which one of these boards would be the best all rounder for my size and conditions?
Thanks!

For an all rounder would go FX12 then Vapor then X12 then TRX.  But if the 2015 SIC models were on sale - would probs pick one of those.  Would opt for the SCC as well.

But seeing that you have tested them already -> you should have a pretty good idea which one suits what you want to do best.  Maybe if you detail out what you like and dislike about each - you can narrow down your choice.   ;)
