Spoony's in Cape Cod!
« on: July 24, 2016, 05:44:58 AM »
I'm in Truro for the week. Already did dawn patrol at Head of the Meadow beach. The waves were… Okay, the waves sucked. They were small, lumpy, and disorganized. I didn't get a single good ride on my 9'8". I probably would have fared better on a bigger board, which I have with me. Next time I'll bring both.

If any Zoner wants to hang out, especially for a day of waves, let me know!

Hi All

Wife is going camping Wed-Sun.  How about a BYO barbeque for Zoners at my house in Dennis on the Cape Friday night?
Anyone interested?

I'm here until Saturday. I don't think a BBQ Friday would work because it's my last night and we'll be packing.

Oh well.  sorry.  hope you enjoyed your week here.

Sometimes when the tourist traffic is rough I remember that people save to come on vacation where I live all year.

I tend to catch myself forgetting as often as I remember it seems.

Are there any waves to be had in the north cape? Amazing. The ocean is flat, and there's all sorts of disgusting brown algae everywhere.

Well, at least there's some nice paddling to be had. I went up the Pamet Ricer today. Lovely.

A lot of new SUPers out there. I had to hold my younger when they'd paddle past me with the blade reversed or the adjustable shaft way too small for the rider.

Pretty sure I'll be headed to the Cape for surf on Sat. morning if you're still around.

Cape is hot, crowded, sharky, flat, and greenhead infested this time of year. besides that, it's wonderful.

Greenheads are the worst. Wait, the traffic and the clueless tourists are the worst. Oh, wait, the tiny waves...  ...sharks are WAY down the list. I love the cape, but I love it a lot more off-season.
