Surf SUP rental North San Diego / South OC

I'm going to be in San Diego Monday morning, driving north to spend the night in Laguna Beach. I'd love to get in a SUP surf session on the way. Are there any shops along that part of the coastline that rent decent surf oriented SUPs and are reasonably close to a surf spot?

If you're driving through north county, Paddle Planet has some surf shapes that they demo/rent.  They're in Leucadia 5-10 min from plenty of beaches. 

OEX Point Loma & West Coast Paddle Sports are your spots in city of San Diego, both are great but neither are as close to the beach as Paddle Planet.
