The Space Coast is Firing
« on: July 21, 2016, 05:13:27 AM »
Chest high with occasional shoulder high sets during this morning's dawn patrol.

Getting a little deep now, but still a few standouts.

Rode the 10" Foote this morning and it treated me well. Will probably grab the short board for tomorrow's session.

Hope this swell makes its way to your break...Peace

Had a nice little surprise here at Folly Beach this morning. Stomach to chest and glassy. Rode the C4 TenThirty. Perfect match.

Dave, my buddy up in Beaufort reported a decent day at Hunting Island. Happy to hear y'all got some.

I shot a lot of video over the four day swell last week. Narrowed it down to one minute:

Comments, suggestions welcomed...Peace

Nice. Looked like you stuck with the Foote. Good choice.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Fun waves and folk rock! Nice surfing, SCP.  Funny, a surfer journalist here on LBI wrote an article about the GoPro and how no matter what we do, the nose mount will ALWAYS look like an exercise class!
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

PB, I'm on my ego board for these videos, but still loving the Foote. There have been days when I regretted surfing the short board, but I've never regretted bringing out the Foote. If I had to have only one that would be it.

Cook, exercise video? That's funny. On a rough day, it's more like a comedy.

We've been fortunate this summer. I can only recall one week long spell without something at least waist high to play in. Yesterday's dawn patrol was waist to stomach high glass in a dense fog. A lot of fun, but I didn't bring the camera, because the forecast was for knee high chop. Forecast has missed badly twice this week. It pays to show up and see for yourself.

Thanks Cook, you asked for it. Here's a one minute vid I compiled over a couple of days last week.
