Wow, it seemed like it was almost all a series of glides.  How much paddling did you edit out?  Beautiful vid and beautiful music.

You gotta come to the Gorge DavidJohn.  That was a nice video, and here we'd call that "tuesday" and bitch that it was light. I know that sounds like bragging, but no. Mi casa, su casa my friend and don't worry about gear. Get on a plane sometime.

We are due for gale force winds over the next day or two. Maliko was very good today. East wind gusting into the 30's, pretty lined up and no ground swell, just a little mixed up from leftover northeasterly windswell.  Polo Bill, you know how good that is. No freaking whales this time of year either, hahaha

It's not going to encourage anyone to post their downwind videos if you guys from Hawaii and the Gorge are going to point out that their conditions aren't as good as yours every time they do. I'm very glad that DJ posts his excellent videos just because they *aren't* the Gorge/Maliko. His conditions are much more representative of the conditions that 99% of the world downwinds in, so it is nice to see videos of how people make the best of what they have got, and see the same equipment being used as most of the world uses. I know you guys mean well, and it is nice that you are proud of where you are lucky enough to live. But is there a risk perhaps that that pride might come across the wrong way, maybe? We can't all be as lucky as you guys.

Another very good video. Lots of gliding from those waves produced by the swells. As always, I enjoy seeing your videos.

Thanks for sharing.

I’ll keep posting mine. That is, as soon as I get around to take any. No one else get’s to downwind in Evian(TM) water!

Trademarked. That’s marketing for ya!

I’m totally spancered. I get to drink it for free.

(all we need is more windy days)

[edit to add]
Thanks for the vid, deeg. Nice ride. Awesome edit. Trippy tunes. Transported!

Great vid DJ! Looks epic and the POV is very cool, capturing the drops nicely.

Every video of DJ's that I've watched is excellent, very high quality. I always make it a point to watch them. I've seen quite a few that capture conditions that any of us downwind addicts would love to paddle in, regardless of where we live.

DJ, do you happen to know which NSP model the other paddler in the videos was using?

Thanks for the coments.. I hope to get to Hood river and Maui one day.. Just need to get myself a passport first..  :)

The board my friend [Mark] was on is the new 14x 28 NSP DC Downwinder..

It was his first time joining us and it doesn't look like it but it was gusting close to 40 knots at times..

Yeah, I thought about that after I typed it, and considered writing something else over it. It's been so crazy here lately I just got giddy.

46mph gusts?  :o  Woah… Did he have a good time or did it convince him to never do it again?
