Back in the zone!
« on: June 27, 2016, 11:18:40 AM »
Been offline for a bit.  A long and tedious move with lotsa heavy lifting that wasn't carbon fiber watercraft.  But now we're in a seriously cool place with fast internet and I'm super stoked.  Previous place had 1-2mbts/sec which was just painful.  Old iMac also crapped out so I bought a Mac mini and a $100 monitor.  So much better.  With HDMI cord you can take the mini anywhere and plug it into a TV.  Much more portable with 7.5 inch square unit.

Sometimes things turn out better.

It's hard to believe my mac mini 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo from 2010 is still going strong.  Yeah, you can just carry it around and plug it into any HDMI monitor or TV. A very small, light biue tooth battery operated keyboard and mouse make a nice, compact package.  I use it in Santa Cruz to stream HBO on demand in hi def to 50 inch Sony XBR and in my little man cave to a 42 inch Vizio.

What is it with the minis? I have 4 here at my house.

HM, glad to have you back. Hope you are doing well. No more heavy lifting for a while, just 18oz or so, 1,000 times headed down the coast.

No.  We have the building permit in so we're at least a year from moving in there.  But this place is the tits.

I feel  your pain as I look around at boxes stacked floor to ceiling and wall to wall.  weediest moved from encinitas to Carlsbad  Now if I could just find a couple of thermally important boxes i would be  well on the way to unpacking.
