I revisited the Shroom video after getting the Speeed. It looks like Shrorom takes the concept further to Tomo type with BBurger secret sauce.

The Speeed still has a dollop of longboard feel, even if it is 8'10", which I kind of like.

I'm thinking about getting the 8'7" Flow, too,  while the bargain sale is going on.  It's a quad at 121L and is certainly at the limit my extrapolated competency/weight ratio.  I better decide before the sale is over.

Now that I'm without a Sunova board its time to get another one!  I want to try a 8' ish x32 Shroom.  Though I thought I read that the board is still getting tuned by Bert so it sounds like they might still be a work in progress.

Does anyone know what dims the production boards will have?

Yeah, Vic,

The Shroom is still in development.

My original thought last year was to get the Fanatic Stubby 8'6".  However, the Sunovas are so well built, I would wind up with a Speeed and a Flow for less than the price of a Stubby in LTD form. That would surely keep me entertained for a while with the Prowave.

I actually placed an order for the Flow, but they had a "payment offline" where they check to see if they still have the board.  I don't know if they get back about it, or they just don't have it anymore, but they have no payment information so no harm, no foul.

Hi SUPcheat. If you do get your Flow, part of Sunova's class act is that they include fins to use it either as a quad or a thruster. You should certainly try both, but I found that I preferred is as a thruster, but that is standard for me anyway on the kind of waves I ride. Just wanted you to know that the Flow is not only a quad.

Thanks, nalu,

I noticed the five fin boxes and assumed the Burt preference tends to be for a thruster, but it's nice to know they include both options since I only have futures fins.

I haven't heard back from them after the "order" though, so maybe they don't have the board in stock anymore.  I gather that they have a certain inventory and when that is exhausted, it's gone.  They must have had quite a few boards, though, because they still list a bunch.

My manufactured home in Santa Cruz has a fairly large, tarped crawl space under the house, with a wooden skirt.  I realize that I can cut out a "board door" in the skirt and slide any number of boards in there, out of sunlight and out of sight, but aerated.  I just hope  raccoons and rats don't chew on them or take a dump on them.

I am going to check out a likely place to put the board slot if it is possible when I get back to SC.
